State of the Sooner Address

Ladies, Gentlemen, Sooner Nation, it has been a long a glorious season. Although it did not end as we would have liked, it was a great one. We have many things to be proud of and to look forward to.

We must first bid farewell to one of the greatest Sooners to strap on the Crimson and Cream. Good luck and farewell Mr. White, it has been great. You brought the Sooner Nation a lot to be proud of; a Heisman Trophy, 2 undefeated regular seasons, 1 Big 12 Championship, 2 trips to the National Championship. All be it no National Title, but a lot to be proud of and thankful for.

We must also say good bye to one of the greatest senior classes will ever see. A lot them will get their name called on that fateful day in April when the NFL holds its draft. A soon to be force in the NFL and backbone to the Sooners, Dan Cody. The best Wide receiver in the Draft will be Mark Clayton. We can't leave out the Antoni Perkins, Jamal Brown, Vince Carter, Lance Mitchel and the list can go on forever with this stellar class.

The future looks bright for our Sooners. Do I have to mention the phenom Adrian Peterson. #28 hopefully will continue to "run all-day," and bring us home one of those Heismans. Fortunately we were able to Red Shirt Big Tall Paul Thompson. We've got Tommy Grady, and Rhett Bomar. Both blue chip QB's out of high school. And they are just chomping at the bit to write their own pages in Sooner history. The Defense under Bob Stoops will always be full of Blue Chippers.

Friends, Family, Sooner Nation no need to worry only 3 months till Spring Ball and 8 months till the season opener. My friends Sooner Magic will be restored. Until then all one must do is close your eyes and you can see all the Sooner greats; Billy Vessels, Steve Owens, Billy Sims, Greg Pruit, The Selmon Brothers, Joe Washington, Tony Casillas, Brian Bosworth, Keith Jackson, Bud Wilkinson, Barry Switzer, Roy Williams, Rocky Calmus, Josh Heupel, Teddy Lehmen, Tommy Harris, and Jason. All of them roaming Owens Field, in all of their Glory.

BOOMER SOONER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
