Controversy?

High school football is one of America's greatest past times. In the great state of Oklahoma Classes 6A-3A are deciding their state championships this weekend. Except for class 5A. The semi finale match up between Tulsa East Central and Shawnee High School has been post poned indefinitely since early last week.
Two weeks ago when Shawnee was playing their quarterfinale matchup against Tulsa Booker T. Washington in the final 19 secs. of play, A Booker T. Washington player jumped offsides and grabbed Shawnee's Quarter Back by the face mask and jerked him to the ground. Shawnee's QB then kicked at the Booker T. Washington player.
That was the easy part. The ref's threw their flags and preceded to take 10 plus minutes in deciding what penalties were to be called. During this time the refs were huddled over the ball the Booker T. Washington was allowed to beinvolved in their conversation. Shawnees head coach tried on multiple occasions to be allowed in the conversation as well, but the refs continued to instruct him back to his sidelines. Penalties were decided and Shawnees QB was thrown out along with one of Booker T. Washington defenders. OSSAA (Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association - Basically the governing body of all OK extra curricular activities) rules state that anyone ejected from a high school football game is required to sit out the next 2 regularly scheduled games. Its the "regularly scheduled" that has us waiting for the conclusion to the high school football season. An injuction was filed by the QB's mother the week after the game. The judge ruled in the families favor and it looked as if the game would be played with the QB resuming his starting duties. Because of the Thanksgiving holiday the OSSAA was not able to file an appeal with the OK Supreme Court before the game was to be played the postponed the game indefinitely. This past Monday OSSAA filed their appeal. As of Right now the appeal has not been heard. OSSAA has till tomorrow to file there written evidence and the Brown family (QB) has till Monday to file there evidence. They are hoping that the game will be played by Friday Dec. 10.
Now on to the fun part, my opinion. I was fortunate enough to attend this football game. It was a dirty game that was allowed to be dirty. The refs did nothing to stop the punching and kicking that was going on. If you now me, I really don't have a problem with that. Football is and aggressive, violent, and mean game. As long as no fights are breaking out and its not getting out of hand then its all good by my standards. The probable on that Saturday night was the ref crew had there face rubbed into the fact that they had allowed a dirty game to go on and with 19 secs left they decided it was time for them to take control. The Booker T. Washington coach was in the refs huddle and he lobbied for his team, which he had every right to do. At that time I feel the refs had it shoved in their face that they saw the kick and did nothing about it.
Now, I don't think the Shawnee QB should get off scott free. I believe whole heartedly what he did was wrong and he was caught and should be punished. But as the rules states he should sit out the first 2 games of next year, because they regularly scheduled. The Booker T. Washington player that was ejected, since there team lost would have to sit out the first two games of next season. Which by the way are non-district games and bear no meaning on their season. But he is a senior and he is having to sit out the first to basketball games of the season. My question is what if he wasn't involved in anything else, there is no "stated punishment" for seniors that would no longer be involved extra curricular activities.
I'm rooting for the Brown the family. As a future football coach I believe the rules set by the OSSAA need to be seriously looked at and rewritten. There needs to be a review board for all high school referee's. There are some really bad refing crews out there and they need to be held accountable. Let the kid play, football is a high emotion game. And for those of you out there that don't know the Shawnee QB didn't cock back and kick the Booker T. Washington kid it was one of those "get off me" jab kicks. Not that that should matter, but from my view point it wasn't a kick done to meant harm.

Been A While

Yes my friends I have returned to the blogging community. Its been a while really didn't know what to post. Theres been alot going on most of I cannot remember. But I will give it a shot.

• I was fortunate enough to come across some season tickets to OU this year. The beginning of the season was rough but I stayed faithful and positive and things have been going good here lately. The boys have been playing some good ball and they are extremely young. We have squad full of Freshman and Sophmores. It will be exciting to see how the next to games go and what bowl game we end up at.
• Still been working. Its getting a little tougher this semester and next. Its killing me going to class and trying to keep up and faithfully go to church. Sunday mornings are the easy part. Other than that its struggle physically to get to the evening service and unfortunately I haven't been able to go Wed. nights. So I'm definetly looking for something else, but I really don't see that happening any time soon.
• If you ever partake in my main mans blog zetataylor.blogspot.com you know that Justin and I are big proponents of movies over books. I will be honest in that I do like books and at work I get a chance to do a lot of reading. So its not that I don't like books or that I think movies are better I just like giving the people who think that if they have read the book then they are some kind of an authority or that they are better than somebody who doesn't read. All that aside I was at the Book Stall (a cool used book store) the other day killing time and I came across the First Edition of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. For those of you who don't know Its a 4 book series and the movie is based off the First Book. I was pretty excited about my find, because I have a very small collection of books and I like to try and find first editions. I was semi-ammused by the movie, but I have heard great things about the book. I am currently reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I am really big fan of these books, but I ahven't have the time to really get through this book. Hopefully I can finish it in the next couple weeks. I'll let everyone know my opinion on Harry Potter and then I will tear into the Hitchhikers Guide and try to leave a little commentary.
• Other than that don't really got a lot going watched Shawnee win their first round playoff game and plan on going to watch them on Saturday.

So Many Topics

So many things to talk about. So I guess I will just jump right into it all:

1. Little League Baseball is awesome. I watched as much of the Little League World Series that I could. Most of you that know me, know I'm not that big a fan of baseball. I can pretty much get my feel of it by watching Sports Center. But there is some kind of innocence in the Little League. I just had a plan ole good time watching it all weekend long and watching Hawaii win it all. Not only did they win the Little League World Series, but they won it in prime fashion. They were down 6-3, to some foreign team I can't remember, in the 6th inning. For those of you who don't know anything about little league baseball, that's the last inning. Hawaii proceeds to tie the game up and take it into extra innings. Hawaii's first batter up with a 2-1 count crushes the next pitch for a homer to win the game. Talk about dream come true. Anyways, if ya can't tell it was a lot of fun to watch.

2. Hurricane Katrina, I really don't know what to say. Except what the crap!!!!! I can understand this whole survival theory with the looting. But people grab up all the designer merchandise and electronics come on. Its just plain retarded. The Governor just issued the evacuation of New Orleans. These is just getting crazier by the moment.

3. Frenzy was a complete hit. Mr. Potter did a great job getting it all taken care of. Thakyou to everyone who help us make Frenzy a success. Zeta Pi Never Die! I guess now we just go to class.

4. This weekend is OU's home opener and I'm gonna be there baby. Just went and picked up my tickets this weekend. This is going to be one good time. The wife has never had the privileged of taking in Norman on Gameday. So this is going to be her first OU game. I can't wait till Saturday! To much fun.

The End

So I guess its the official end of summer for me. I don't start school till next Wed. but as of Sunday my dorm will be ful with almost everybody thats going to be living here. So I will have to be offically on my toes. Starting on Sat. I guess you could say Frenzy will be in full effect. So it will full blast till Tues. night. Its gonna be a long weekend so we all better get ready!!!!!!!!!!!

Champs Baby!!!

Thats right, with a final record of 12-3 we are officially the Champs of Shawnee CO-ED Church Softball. We finished out winning our final 2 games in impressive fashion. Run ruling both teams and only givng up 1 run. Its been a great summer and definetly ready for next.

Disappointment

So I have been playing crazy amount of softball this summer. Started the summer off with a long mens league and now we are on the tail end of co-ed. We started off the season 10-0. We have now dropped 3 in a row. We were in a position where it looked like we had the locked up. We have beaten everybody twice and everybody else has 4 loses. We need to at least win one of our last two. So its kinda depressing that we couldn't even squeeze out one win. Last night we lost by 2 in our first game and we went into 2 extra innings in the last game and lost by 1. Life is rough, not really, but its fun saying that it is. Till next time.

What?

i don't know what to title this post. its been so long and so much has gone on since i last posted, but i still fill like i don't have anything to say. how funny that sounds coming from me. because i always have an opinion. some twisted take on something.
all that aside its been a good summer. haven't really done anything productive, which is nice. i have done a little bit more than my beautiful wife. i think i'm really ready for this teaching/coaching (with emphasis on coaching) thing. summers off, i mean seriously, it doesn't get better than that. i've played church league softball all summer. that has been probably one of the most enjoyable experiences i have had in a long time. well, as a whole. don't get me wrong i've had some good times the past couple years. we started playing softball the week before school was out and we are going to end the co-ed league next week, the week before school starts back up.
speaking of school i am definitely ready to get back into the swing of things. i've got two years left of this craziness and to be honest i think i'm finally ready to be done with it after 5 years of my life. this semester looks promising, even though there a few kinks in it. i won't be out of class till 3 on monday and wednesdays. which may not seem like that big of a deal to you peeps not in the know. but when you work all night long and then go to class its gonna make for a long day.
i'm seriously stoked for football this year i just acquired 2 season tickets to all OU home games. chrisanna is finally gonna get to see a OU game live. and i'm gonna be at all the games. i just don't know how to express how excited i am. its just freaking awesome!!!!!!!!!!! so on that note.

I have returned to my normal nightly duties. After spending two weeks in what I like to call night security abolishment. Its good to be connected to the world wide web! Super Summer begins today and that means 2 weeks of crazy camp kids on the campus of OBU. Can't be that bad, right? I really don't remember to much about last years Super Summer, I don't know if it was that bad that I blocked it out or if it was really laid back. Guess we will see.
The amazing Calvary Baptist Softball team is back around .500 and looking to kick some church league booty. We've got ourselves a triple header tonight. All I know is we are going to be sucking some serious air when its all said and done.

Been A Long Time Coming

So I haven't been in front of a computer to much lately. Finals went well. Another semester down, and what seems like an eternity to go. This past week and the next I am not working at Taylor, they have me at West U apartments. I do not have access to a computer over there. That is why its been so long since I have posted. Probably be another week before I post again. The first week off of school has been good. A couple of movies, church league softball, riding my bike to work, and some good sleep. Hope life is as good for everyone else!

Hello ladies!!! haha, I have to much fun. School is driving me nuts, but on the bright side we finished pledging this past weekend. So thats good news. Being the pledge chair my life has slowed down considerbly. And we got ourselves 3 new brothers for the cause. We got one more week of class and then finals so all is kinda of crazy. Its Been Awhile

Well I guess I could start posting every once in awhile. Life's been crazy. School has gotten way out of hand. And I just got through battling my worst case of poison ivy in like 10 years. And for those of you not in the know, I'm highly allergic. So I have been out of commission for the past week and a half. And now school is really out of hand. So that is my life in a nut shell. Hall of Fame

As of this weekend Wrestlmania will be upon us. And this years looks great. Hopefully it will make up for the past couple of years. The WWE has fortunately brought back their Hall of Fame. Which I fill has been an total assist. They brought it back last year and to me it has given credibility to it. Before it had become a joke, but it has also been a good thing that they have waited so long. Now they have a good stock pile of wrestlers who deserve to be inducted. So lets take a look at this years inductees and who is inducting them.

THE IRON SHEIK

It is great to see The Iron Sheik get inducted. He won the title in 1983 and lost it to Hulk Hogan in 1984. This match is considered to be the match that launched Hulk Hogans career and put wrestling back in the mainstream. But many remember his epic battles of good vs. Evil against Sgt. Slaughter. And nobody could believe it when Sgt. Slaughter joined sides with The Iron Sheik. After tagging with Nikolia Volkoff and winning the tag titles The Iron Sheik had a few recurring roles with the WWE.

Good Times

So those of you fortunate ones out there who caught RAW last week saw a special reunion of sorts. One night only the Heart Break Kid and Marty Janty were able to tag up together for a Rockers Reunion. Brings back memories of the good ol' days. A great tag team of their time. They went up against La Reistance or however you spell their stupid name (their french). Definetly a wrestling highlight for me.

So for all you wrestling fans out there (even you closet fans), who would make your day to see in that squared circle. Yes it was fun and memorable to watch the Rockers do their thing, but I would go crazy if Sting was ever to enter the WWE.

Memphis

A good time was had by all. The Mrs. and I took a little trip to visit some friends in Memphis this weekend. We took in the sights and some really good food. But most of all we got to see Mr. Packer and as always his lovely wife Rose. We even took a little time to get some ink done. So all in all it was a great time.

Hopefully everyone out there is enjoying the madness. OU got it handed to them by Utah. But thats ok, I guess. Not like there is a whole I can do about it. The are a young club and I didn't see them getting past the Sweet 16. I picked OSU to win it all. I think they've got just as good a shot as anyone.

It looks like tomorrow we will all be back it again. So I'm gonna enjoy my Sunday and rest a little.

Try remembering that and whole lot of other muscles in the leg for a stupid Kinesiology Quiz. These things are gonna kill me. I mean seriously, I will always be able to whip out my handy dandy Kinesiology Book whenever I might have the desire and need to find out what are the prime movers whenever I flex my hip, elbow, shoulder, or whatever. Yup thats right, here's me whining again about school. So what you gonna do about it.

Pledges suck like usual. Especially everybody else's pledges. I tell you what though anytime you need something done they appear. And thats really handy.

So there is a "new" social club on campus. AXE is apparently there call sign. I wonder if they realize how close that is to ass. And that is how I feel about the whole situation. Apparently their reasoning for starting up a club is they wanted a Christian Brotherhood. I am very disappointed in Senate because of how blind they are to the social club status on our campus. Having another club is not good for social clubs. Currently their are 5 male clubs on campus and only 2 of them are thriving. So lets throw another one in the mix and let that help kill out the rest. Half of the 10 guys, thats right I said to 10 to all of you in the know, where looking to pledge other clubs. My opinion is that they are giant pussies and didn't want to pledge, they just wanted a set of letters. So there you go, you got a problem with what I've said, "Bring It!"

Ahhh yes, it has been awhile. Never fear the Loondaddy has returned. The past couple of weeks life has gotten a little hectic. But, its all good I have gotten used to it a little. We have began pledging and fortunately for me I am the dounted pledge chair. For those of you that do not know that means my life is a little crazy right now, and at least for another 7 weeks excluding spring break. So all in all life is good, except for the occasional math and spanish II test, I just might make it. Speaking of tests, I should probably study for this "Mathematics" test that I have no clue whats going on.

I know that "suckyness" is not a word, but it is the best description of how I feel. The first couple weeks of school have been "suckyness." And currently I have, apparently what everybody else has. My chest and sinus' are killing me. So thats been real great. I just wanted to post something to let everybody out there know I'm still kicking and that there are more posts to come. Now for a little dispute I have with Papa T. Ric Flair did 'borrow' somebody else's nickname. But it wasn't Nature Boy Kirby, it was Nature Boy Buddy Rogers. I did recognize Baron Von Raske. And as you can tell from my list one of the absolute all time greats in the wrestling business The King Harley Race. All of the guys you listed were local Mid South guys that wrestled for Harley Race.

As for Tysons list, I dug his top 4 and I can see Jericho making a top 10 list, but the rest come on. Up till about a year ago I would have probably put Goldberg on my list. What he did in WCW was awesome and I totally was into it. But since his very short stint in the WWE and his relatively short career I just don't think he is even in a top 25 anymore. But there is always the future and maybe he will make it back up on my list, cause he has amazing ability. But Randy Orton, the kid has only been wrestling for a couple of years and still hasn't shown he could carry the belt. They took it from him in a matter of months. Kevin Nash just hasn't had the career that he could have, because of injuries and going to WCW. Booker T showed his worth when he went to the WWE and has barely carried the US Title and he was the '5 time' WCW champion. Come on, seriously. Rey Mysterio is the sad one out of all of your pics. I have to admit that is a great pic. I still don't think he is top 10 of all time but he unfortunately will never be a Heavy Weight Champ. Just the Nature of the Beast.

I know its a tag team, but they were great. The first time I was Scott Steiner do the frankensteiner I was hooked on the tag team. They held the WCW Tag Titles 5 times and the WWF Tag Titles 2.

9. Road Warriors/Legion of Doom
that's right another Tag Team. I promise this is the last one. I have been fortunate enough to see the Road Warriors live and in person. These guys just destroyed people. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh What A Rush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

8. Mick Foley
Mick Foley made this list solely on the basis of Cactus Jack. I absolutely loved Cactus. His other personas where good and Mick Foley himself is great. But Cactus Jack was the man. Bang! Bang!

7. Triple H
Mr. Stephanie McMahon himself made my list. All kidding aside, There will be a day when this man is at the top of my list. 10 time Heavy Weight Champion. That's just ridicules. He is the game.

6. Stone Cold Steve Austin
In my opinion the savior of WWE. Wrestling was heading down an odd path before this man. And he had the coolest title belt ever. The true working mans wrestler. Flipping the bird and telling your boss off, who doesn't identify with that.

5. Undertaker
The deadman is very much alive. He's just as old as Hogan and all those other losers, but he moves like he's 30 years younger. I personally like the biker taker the best, but I will take him however I can get him.

4. Hulk Hogan
No, definitely not Hollywood. Hogan is arguably one of the top 2 wrestlers of all time. But this is my list and during Hogans hay day I was watching WCW. Hogan brought wrestling main stream. He made it entertainment and not wrestling. The business owes him everything, for what it is.

3. Ric Flair
The last gladiator. He is wrestling. Flair is the other "arguable one of the top 2 wrestlers of all time." He has helped keep the wrestling tradition alive. Jet flying, limousine riding, kiss stealing, wheeling dealing son of a gun. Whoooooo!

2. Shawn Michaels
The Show Stopper, 5 time World Heavy Weight Champion. It almost doesn't get any better than him. With a lot of first under his belt he earned the nickname the innovator by participating in these matches; First Ever Ladder Match, First Ever Hell in a Cell, First Ever Elimination Chamber, First Ever Grand Slam Champion, 95 1st to enter the Royal Rumble and win, First Ever Back to Back Royal Rumble wins (96 & 96), Wrestlemania XII 1 hour Iron Man Match.

1. Sting
My personal favorite of all time. I dig the "scare crow" Sting that has been all over the place the past 6 or 7 years. But nothing is better than the bleached blonde wild man. Ahh yes, I have returned to blogging. I had to take little break. I was blogging like a madman for awhile over break. Today was the first day of class and it was sucky, as expected. Let me give you scary moment of the day. I'm retaking Spanish II, because I worked so hard at it the first time I flunked it :). And lets just say Spanish I didn't treat me to well either. So I'm a little nervous going into this as it is. I've never been very good with languages and its been 3 years since I barely made it through Spanish I and flunked II. Before that I've only had 1 year of Spanish in High School and that was 7 years ago. So I'm sitting there in class and Mr. Swadley walks in and doesn't hardly say a word in English. I didn't understand a single thing he said. I picked up on a few si and no's and one muy bueno. But other than that I was lost. So currently I'm trying to pick on a semesters worth of Spanish tonight.

So to make a long story short I'm gonna be posting a list of my top 10 wrestlers of all time and it will be great!
